The Greater Boise Rotary Foundation is an avenue for effective charitable contributions by:  Rotarians, Rotary Families and Friends.  Those contributions are a source of grants for deserving Ada County charitable organizations.

GBRF is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)3.  Contributions continually build the principal of the fund.  Annual distributions are based on a formula designed to assure that the principal will be preserved.  A gift to the GBRF keeps giving year after year.    Contributions in any amount are welcome.

BOISE WATERSHED EXHIBITS RECEIVES UNPRECEDENTED $17,000 DONATION FROM GREATER BOISE ROTARY FOUNDATION

The Greater Boise Rotary Foundation presented the non-profit Boise WaterShed Exhibit, Inc. with an unprecedented $17,000 donation.   The money will fund a groundwater exhibit in the Boise WaterShed River Campus.

Since opening in 2008, the Boise WaterShed Environmental Education Center has hosted nearly 100,000 visitors of all ages with a focus on preserving and conserving water for future generations. The Greater Boise Rotary Foundation has donated money to many causes across Ada County since forming in 1984, but this is the largest donation to date.

“At the latest Rotary International Water Summit the focus was on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene in schools,” said Boise Rotary Club Executive Director Nancy Chinn. “Locally, the Greater Boise Rotary Foundation members believe that by teaching elementary students about our groundwater now, the future of our water supply will be in good hands as they become our leaders.”

Boise WaterShed Exhibits President Lynn Moser said, “From being a leader in the eradication Polio to their incredible Youth Exchange program, Rotary has always been on the forefront of social causes in our community and the world. We are pleased to have them join our water conservation mission. It demonstrates the depth of understanding Boise Rotarians have about our community and the need to conserve and preserve water for future generations.”

Robert S. Gibb Memorial Bridge
Robert Gibb was a longtime educator with the Idaho State Department of Education.  He was involved in virtually every community activity he could find:  March of Dimes, Chamber of Commerce, 4-H, Easter Seals, Masons, Neighborhood Youth Corps and more.  The bridge that connects Julia Davis with BSU is named after him "The Robert S. Gibb Memorial Bridge."
Each year $3000 is given to the BSU Bob Gibb Scholarship fund.
Bob lived and breathed the Rotary 4-Way Test:
              Is it the TRUTH
Is it FAIR to all Concerned
Will it build GOODWILL and better FRIENDSHIPS
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all CONCERNED
